QEII Conference Centre, London, UK
First Year Attended: 2016
How They've Participated: Current Speakers
eTail Highlights: The opportunity to learn from the likes of Airbnb, Bivolino, Hotels.com and so many other established brands!
We’d heard about the eTail event in London from other retailers in the industry but we’d never participated mostly because of time constraints. But then we were approached by Greg Ashton (producer for the event) to present at the conference – something we couldn’t refuse! We’re a lean start-up with a lot to learn and participating along with other retail brands is a big opportunity for us…not only to learn but to make our presence felt in the retail world.
When we came up with the idea for ‘Enclothed’, we both had established careers but we never treated it as a side project. We were passionate about it and gave it our all – we collaborated with retail brands, did sales, shipped out merchandise. But we’ve grown exponentially over the past couple of years and are now looking to learn from other brands with a business model similar to ours.
For example, Airbnb is presenting at the event. That’s definitely on our radar – how do they create a hassle free user experience for their clients? There’s a lot of conversations to be had, a lot of connections to be made...we’ll be taking a ton of notes!
Being a lean start-up is an advantage in many ways. One of them being that we’re quick to implement decisions, see results and continue with improvements. You don’t always see that in big corporations. A 700% growth is hard to keep up with but we’ve persisted, made changes and seen results. And we’re excited to share our data, our insights, with other retailers. We’ll be at eTail to tell you that being a big corporation shouldn’t stop you from creating a personalized user experience and we’re excited to show you how….so see you at the conference!
