Things To Do In London
This five-way intersection is famous for its vibrant billboards (think London’s Times Square), Shaftesbury Memorial Fountain, and for being a major pedestrian and shopping attraction. It’s a must-attend for London tourists.
Fun fact: Bovril and Perrier were the first advertisers to use neon lights in this square, in 1908. The lights remained on even throughout WW2.
Europe’s tallest Ferris wheel is a great way to take in a view of the entire. It was built in 1999, and at the time was the world’s tallest. It’s the single most popular tourist attraction in all of London!
Fun fact: It’s had four separate owners in its just-18 year history, and today is also known as the Coca-Cola London Eye.
The British Museum is dedicated to human history, art and culture, and is located in the Bloomsbury area of London. Its permanent collection, numbering some 8 million works, is among the largest and most comprehensive in existence and originates from all continents, illustrating and documenting the story of human culture from its beginnings to the present. And its free for all visitors!
Fun fact: It houses so many artifacts that only about 10% of the museum’s collection is on display at any one time.
St. James’s Park
A beautiful 57-acre public park surrounded by some of London’s most historic buildings, including Buckingham Palace and The Mall. Enjoy walking, wildlife, restaurants, and relaxing in one of London’s most iconic parks.
Fun fact: It used to be a private park for the King James’ animal collection, including camels, crocodiles and elephants!
